Perhaps Dan Plesac should start a side career as a psychic.

Prior to the start of Game 1 of the World Series between the Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers, the former major league relief pitcher-turned-longtime analyst for MLB Network made an on air prediction that Addison Barger would hit a home run.
ADDISON BARGER
PINCH-HIT
GRAND SLAM

Roughly two hours later, Plesac's vision proved prophetic as the Blue Jays right-fielder launched a pinch-hit grand slam to right-centre field and sent Rogers Centre into pandemonium
Addison Barger... he's not even in the starting lineup, but he will come off the bench and be a left-hander off the bench, and i'm telling what - he's going to run into one and the Rogers Centre is going to come unglued

Plesac has long been renowned for his insight. He spent 18 years season in the big leagues, including two separate stints with the Blue Jays, before retiring in 2003. He joined MLB Network in 2009 and is part of their flagship program MLB Tonight.
Plesac went on to add that Barger was going to pinch hit in the later innings.

Plesac's prophetic prediction stuns colleagues

He's going to get a pinch-hit at-bat in the 7th, 8th, or 9th inning and he's gonna send this place into a frenzy

He ended up being off by an inning as Barger pinch-hit for Davis Schneider in the 6th. Still, his colleague and co-host Greg Amsinger was in disbelief during a post-game recap segment.
How in the world? «How did you know?»

Amsinger later topped to Plesac being a genius.
Who knows whether there will be another prophecy for game 2.
