While some minor leagues have lost some stock - the Blue Jays released Orelvis Martinez, and Ricky Tiedemann and Brandon Barriera lost most of their seasons to injuries, there is still plenty of talent to go around.
So, who will be the next big prospect to crack the big league roster? A Few options stand out
The outfielder was acquired from the Chicago Cubs for Nate Pearson last July. Starting the year in Double-A New Hampshire, he absolutely crushed the baseball, hitting 298 with 10 doubles, eight home runs, 23 RBI, and a .928 OPS.
Yohendrick Pinango is having no issues adjusting to AAA. 110 MPH/448 Feet. Absolute nuke.
Shreck, the Blue Jays No. 8 overall prospect joins the list of talented outfielders who could see time in the big leagues in 2026. Acquired at the deadline for Justin Turnerlast year, Shreck has garnered 34 extra-base hits, including 18 home runs, doing go along with 53 RBIs and an 862 OPS. Him and Pinango might end up in a battle for a 40-man roster spot during Spring training.
As mentioned in an earlier article, Stanifer has risen through the ranks after a rough start to his professional career. A 19th round pick in 2022, Stanifer struggled to an ERA over 6.00 in his first season in Rookie Ball. Pitching at all three minor league levels this season, Stanifer has rebounded nicely, with 161 strikeouts in 110.
With Tiedemann, Jake Bloss, and Adam Macko recovering from injuries, and the Blue Jays potentailly losing some veteran pitchers at years' end, Stanifer's time could come soob.
