The Blue Jays' roster moves have begun.

Ryan Borucki and Michael Stefanic
Both had been outrighted by the Blue Jays during the regular season but both chose to accept the assignment at the time. With the season now over, they have now opted out of their contracts.
Borucki began his career as a member of the Blue Jays rotation, after being drafted in the 15th round in 2012. The left-hander made his debut in 2018 and spent parts of the next five seasons in Toronto, mostly pitching out of the bullpen.

After being designated for assignment, he was traded to the Seattle Mariners, where he finished out the 2022 season. He signed a minor league deal with the Chicago Cubs prior to the 2023 season but didn't appear in a game for them. He spent the last 2.5 seasons in Pittsburgh as a member of the Pirates.
After being released by the Bucs, He returned to Toronto in August, pitching a scoreless inning in his lone appearance.

Both could find themselves on similar one year deals

Stefanic signed with the Los Angeles Angels as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and made his major leagued debut in 2022.
He signed a minor league contract with the Blue Jays last offseason and appeared in nine games with the big league club in May.
Both are likely to find minor league deals.
