The Pittsburgh Pirates take on the Toronto Blue Jays in their first meeting of 2026 Spring Training on Friday at TD ballpark in Dunedin, Florida.
Blue Jays veteran right-hander Jose Berrios will take the bump versus 23-year old righty Bubba Chandler this afternoon. First Pitch 1:07 PM ET on Sportsnet ONE and Sportsnet Pittsburgh.

Starting pitcher overview
In his last outing against the New York Yankees, Jose Berrios did not allow a hit, struck out two and issued a pair of walks over his four frames of work.
His velocity ticked up noticeably from his spring debut against the New York Mets.
Berrios averaged 93.1 m.p.h. with his four-seam fastball and 92.1 m.p.h. with his two-seamer, an encouraging sign as he builds toward the regular season.
Berrios finished the 2025 campaign with a 4.17 ERA over 166 innings in 31 starts, his lowest total for both innings and starts in a full season since 2017.
Bubba Chandler get the ball for the Pirates today. In his last outing Chandler allowed two earned runs on three hits and three walks with two strikeouts across 1.1 innings in against the Houston Astros.
Chandler has struggled in two spring appearances, walking seven across only three innings of work.
He surrendered free passes to the first two Astros batters he faced, though he nearly worked out of the jam.
There's no indication that Chandler's spot in the Pirates' rotation is in jeopardy, but he hasn't had a strong start to the exhibition season.
