The Toronto Blue Jays sweep of the San Diego Padres last night apparently caused a ruckus between some teammates as a fight broke out in the visitors clubhouse.
The Blue Jays shut the Padres out in the first two games of the series with a 3-0 win in game 1 followed by a 14-0 win in game 2 which seem to have caused some problems in the San Diego clubhouse.
Blue Jays win causes fight in the Padres clubhouse
Reports came out last night that after the game two blowout win (14-0) by the Blue Jays was the Padres fifth loss in a row and second without scoring a single run, a fight broke out in the clubhouse between teammates.
There was reportedly a 'scuffle' in the Padres clubhouse last night following their 14-0 loss to the Blue Jays. While the players involved haven't been named, sources say it began after one player questioned the team's leadership, per @Ben_Verlander
The Padres are currently on a five-game losing streak and have been outscored 32-3 during that span.
The Friars played a bit better in the final game of the series but still ended up losing 7-6 last night in extra innings to the Blue Jays which extended their losing streak to six games.
Since the Padres have a ton of talent on their team including Fernando Tatis Jr and Manny Machado, it is surprising that they have been this bad lately especially when it comes to offense.
The Blue Jays have been on fire lately which many are hoping will continue against the Tampa Bay Rays tonight.
