The Toronto Blue Jays are pursuing right-handed Cuban reliever Raisel Iglesias to bolster their bullpen in 2026.
The Blue Jays already met with top free agent closer Edwin Diaz's representatives at the GM meetings in Las Vegas on Thursday.
It appears like they doing their due diligence by pursuing other free agent relievers to reinforce the back end of their bullpen.
The latest reliever is Raisel Iglesias. According to BBWAA's Francys Romero, the Blue Jays are actively pursuing the Cuban right-hander.

According to sources, the Toronto Blue Jays have emerged as a strong suitor for Cuban reliever Raisel Iglesias. Toronto is actively pursuing the veteran right-hander as they look to reinforce the back end of their bullpen.
Last season for the Atlanta Braves, Iglesias appeared in 70 games while producing a 3.21 ERA and adding 29 saves Over his last five seasons, Iglesias has recorded 25-plus saves in four of the last years with 2022 being the lone exception.
Raisel Iglesias had a 1.31 ERA with 21 saves and 9.8 K/9 over his last 43 appearances of the season. He ranked in the 90th percentile in chase rate, 88th percentile in whiff rate, and 88th percentile in hard-hit rate. He's still good and would be a nice get for the Jays.
The 35-year-old reliever is in the second tier of the reliever market this winter. With Edwin Diaz and Robert Suarez in their own group at the very top, Iglesias slots in right behind them along with Devin Williams, Pete Fairbanks and Ryan Helsley.
