🔹 OF George Springer (left great toe fracture) placed on 10-day IL
The last update John Schneider provided for Springer prior to the IL announcement indicated he was getting a CT scan, and that they'll know more in the next couple of days.
It's undetermined at this point what Springer's actual timeline will look like, but according to manager John Schneider it wont be for an extended period of time.
Springer is in the final year of a six-year contract.
No one expected the veteran to replicate his 2025 season, when he essentially turned back the clock.
His defining moment came in Game 7 of the ALCS when he hit a three-run homer against the Seattle Mariners to send Toronto to the fall classic.
A Springer bobblehead that commemorated his epic dinger against the Mariners was a promotional giveaway item on Friday.
Last season, Springer missed time after he was drilled on the side of the head during a game against the Baltimore Orioles. When he returned, Springer went on a heater.
