Turnbull, who joined the Blue Jays as a free agent in May, made his Blue Jays debut on June 11 against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Since joining the big-league club, the 32-year-old right-hander has appeared in relief twice, pitching to a 2.08 ERA over 4.1 innings.
A seven-year MLB veteran, Turnbull operated as a starter and reliever for the Philadelphia Phillies in 2024.
Turnbull last pitched for Toronto on Sunday against those Phillies, allowing one run and five hits over 2.1 frames.

The Blue Jays will hope to get Max Scherzer back into their rotation in short order.
It was announced earlier Thursday that the three-time Cy Young winner will throw a bullpen on Saturday and could make his next start with the big-league club after that.
Right-hander Davis Martin is scheduled to pitch for Chicago on Friday. The 28-year-old takes the mound for his 14th start for the White Sox this season, putting up a 3.79 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP.
Toronto (40-34) sits three games back of the New York Yankees for the American League East's top spot, while holding down a wildcard position. Chicago, however, holds the AL's worst record at 23-51.
You can watch as Turnbull and the Blue Jays take on the White Sox on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+. First pitch is scheduled for 7:07 p.m. ET / 4:07 p.m. PT.
