Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider announces big update on George Springer, Shane Bieber, Andres Gimenez, Alek Manoah and Anthony Santander.

Springer has been cleared for a rehab game with Triple-A Buffalo on August 6.
Barring setbacks, he could return for the Blue Jays' weekend series against the Dodgers starting August 8.
George Springer is slated to get in a rehab game Wednesday.
Shane Bieber will pitch in another rehab game Saturday with Buffalo. He should get one more rehab start before a decision is made to join big league team per Schneider
Springer, 35, has not played since taking a 95 mph fastball to the helmet from Baltimore Orioles reliever Kade Strowd last Monday.
The four-time All-Star was placed on the seven-day concussion IL on Friday, retroactive to July 29, with the team activating outfielder Daulton Varsho to take his spot on the roster.
Springer has been a key contributor for the team this season, leading the team in home runs (18), slugging percentage (.506), and OPS (.889).
Andres Gimenez begins a rehab assignment with Buffalo tomorrow, said Schneider.

George Springer will also join Buffalo, will play either tomorrow or Wednesday, depending on how he feels.

Alek Manoah's next rehab start is with double-A New Hampshire on Thursday.
Gimenez, 26, was placed on the 10-day injured list on July 5 with a left ankle sprain.
The Barquisimeto, Venezuela native was cleared to begin running the bases on Friday, and all appears to have checked out as the slick-fielding middle infielder was given the green light to begin his rehab assignment.
Gimenez has played in just 61 games for Toronto this season, his first with the club since being acquired in a deal from the Cleveland Guardians over the winter, and is slashing .218/.300/.322 with five home runs, 23 RBI and 10 stolen bases.
The latest Anthony Santander Update:

There was "some labrum stuff going on there, too" but he's improving and told John Schneider he feels 70% better than he did a week ago. They hope is he's swinging soon. 70% of which number? Not sure. Anyways. That's the update. #BlueJays
