The Toronto Blue Jays officially thanked Bo Bichette for his time with Canada's team on Wednesday.

Bo Bichette has officially moved on from the Blue Jays, signing a three-year, $126 million contract with the New York Mets.
The deal ends Bichette's seven-season run in Toronto, despite his earlier desire to remain with the club following its 2025 World Series appearance.
The Blue Jays shared a heartfelt message for Bichette on social media after the signing became official.
From a second-round pick in 2016, to a leader on our American League Championship team. Thank you for everything, Bo 💙
Drafted by the Blue Jays in the second round of the 2016 MLB Draft, Bichette spent his entire career in Toronto prior to the move.
Over 748 games, he posted a .294 batting average with 111 home runs and 437 RBIs, becoming one of the franchise's key players.
Seven seasons of memories 💙
Blue Jays minor league affiliates like the New Hampshire Fisher Cats and Buffalo Bisons also posted their goodbyes.
Thank you for the memories, Bo.💙✊
The Buffalo Bisons couldn't even muster a thank you as they posted a shot of Bichette, Biggio and Guerrero Jr followed by a sad emoji with welled up eyes.

Blue Jays offseason a success despite the loss of Bichette

Toronto extended Bichette a qualifying offer, which he declined to enter free agency.
Several teams, including the Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Phillies, expressed strong interest before he ultimately chose the Mets.
Bichette was a two-time All-Star and played a major role in Toronto's recent success.
In 2025, he hit .311 with 18 home runs and 94 RBIs and followed that up with a strong postseason performance.
For representing our team and our community at the highest level. Thank you, Bo 🫶
Despite the loss, Toronto has added more in Dylan Cease and Kazuma Okamoto and will continue to build around a core that includes Vladimir Guerrero Jr., George Springer and Alejandro Kirk as it looks ahead to the upcoming season.
