The Toronto Blue Jays swept the San Diego Padres yesterday however during the game Vladimir Guerrero Jr was not happy with the umpire.
Vlad Jr started off the season slow but despite not having a ton of homeruns he has seriously picked up his game lately as his batting average currently sits a .279 with a .364 obp.
Blue Jays Vladimir Guerrero Jr loses it on homer plate umpire
The Jays have had a tough go with umpires this season as they have been on the bad end of many calls which is unfortunate since umpires do make mistakes but to always be on the losing side of it is a tough spot to be in.
Against San Diego yesterday, Guerrero was not too happy after his at bat in the 10th inning which caused him to rip into the home plate umpire while pointing at the mound, then John Schneider came out of the dugout to defend his player so he wouldn't get the toss..
Vladdy isn't happy about something after that at-bat to end the 10th...He came back talking to the home-plate umpire, pointing at the mound. John Schneider ran out for a moment before Vladdy turned away. #BlueJays
There has been no further report on what Guerrero said to the umpire about the Padres pitcher but he clearly was not impressed with what was happening.
Guerrero has been hitting very well lately since over his last 7 games prior to yesterday he is 7 for 20 at the plate with a .519 OBP and 2 homeruns.
