Congratulations go out to Jake Bloss and Trey Yesavage. The two Blue Jayspitching prospects were named to the All-Spring Breakout teams on Monday. Jake Bloss' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Bloss was named as a member of the first team, while Yesavage made the All-Second team.

Jake Bloss' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Bloss started the Blue JaysSpring Breakout game against the Twins on Saturday and struck out four over two innings. Yesavage meanwhile, entered the game following Jake Bloss' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Bloss and made his organizational debut. In the game, he struck out three while just two hits in two innings, with a fastball that topped out at 97.
Although he was drafted in the first round as the 20th overall pick by the Blue Jays last year, Yesavage did not pitch at all with the club after signing last year. Just 21, he is quite advanced as a pitcher, having played three seasons in the NCAA, where he posted a 2.58 ERA over 195.1 innings with 295 strikeouts against 74 walks. Given that, he could be in the majors sooner rather than later and could even Double-A this year.
Jake Bloss' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Bloss who was acquired along with Will Wagner and Joey Loperfido in the trade that sent Yusei Kikuchi to the Astros, made his MLB debut for Houston last year, after being rushed to the majors.
The Blue Jays have a handful of starters whose contracts are coming off the books in the next couple of seasons. With so much uncertainty coming up, as well as a need for the rotation to get younger, Jake Bloss' class='lien_marqueur' target='_blank' rel='noopener'>Bloss and Yesavage could become a big part of the Blue Jays' future.
