The Toronto Blue Jays have added two more International Free Agents to their minor league system. Last week, the team quietly signed INF Darwin Nunez and RHP Freigher Braco to minor league contracts.

Both the deals were listed in the transaction section of the Blue Jays website.
Not much is known about either player, but both were assigned to the DSL Blue Jays upon the finalization of their deals.
From what little is known about Nunez, it would appear that he is prospect from Liga Norma Diaz a team that plays in Santo Domingo Este, which is just east of the national capital.
The Blue Jays have spent a ton of money this offseason on the signing International Free Agentss, and seemed to have put their extra $2 Million - acquired from Cleveland alongside Myles Straw - to good use.
Many young players out of the Caribbean sign for as little as $10K, and are often seen as very low-risk signings, even if they never develop into big leaguers.
The signings of Nunez and Braco as follow a trend for the Blue Jays, who used much of their international pool money of pitchers and infielders, particularly shortstops.
Nunez 17, and Braco 19, are still several years away from the big leagues and may not even got to Low-A right away. Often times, visa issues aside, young IFAs will start off in the Florida Development Complex so the development team and roving instructors can gauge their skill set.
It should be that as a 19 year old, Braco does not fall under the International Free Agents eligibility and funding usage, as the rules of the signing dictate that a player must be 16 and 17 years old.
Still, many Caribbean sign deals of these sorts throughout the year.
