After almost a decade without a playoff win, the Blue Jays will look to keep up the momentum this afternoon as they take on the Yankees for Game 2 of the ALDS.
It marked the Blue Jays' first playoff win since game 4 of the 2016 ALCS against the Cleveland Indians and a strong start to the series.
In postseason history, teams that win Game 1 in any best-of-five series have gone on to win the series 113 of 156 times (72.4%).
In Division Series with the current 2-2-1 format, teams that win Game 1 at home have advanced 40 of 54 times (74.1%).
Blue Jays rookie right-hander
Trey Yesavage is on the bump versus Yankees ace
Max Fried. First pitch is at 4:08 PM ET on Sportsnet and Fox Sports.

Starting Pitchers Overview
Blue Jays rookie Trey Yesavage (1-0) will make his postseason debut this afternoon. In his last outing Yesavage earned the win against Tampa Bay, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out five across five scoreless innings.
Yesavage made his Rogers Centre debut Saturday after pitching on the road in the first two starts of his major-league career.
He was able to get himself out of tough situations to keep the Rays off the board, including a bases-loaded jam in the third inning in which he struck out Jonathan Aranda to escape unscathed.
Yesavage's efforts were enough for him to capture the first win of his major-league career ending the regular season with a 3.21 ERA and 1.43 WHIP in 14 innings across three starts with Toronto.
Yesavage will be just the third pitcher to make a postseason start within his first four MLB appearances, including playoffs, joining Shane Baz (2021 ALDS G2) and Matt Moore (2011 ALDS G1), both with the Rays.
Yankees lefty Max Fried will get the ball in game two. In his last outing Fried pitched 6.1 shutout innings in a loss to the Red Sox, giving up four hits and three walks while collecting six strikeouts. He did not factor into the decision.
The 31-year-old lefty pitched his way out of a couple of jams in the fourth and fifth innings to keep the Sox off the scoreboard through six.
However, Fried had to settle for a no-decision in his first postseason appearance as a Yankee after Luke Weaver gave up two runs following Fried's removal in the seventh.
Louis Varland looked fantastic coming in behind Gausman in Game 1 and Toronto also turned to Seranthony Dominguez, Brendon Little and Jeff Hoffman, all key bullpen pieces.
This is the beauty of the bye through the Wild Card Series, though, as all of these pitchers got extra rest recently and should be available this afternoon.
The Blue Jays are carrying four lefties in their bullpen for the ALDS, too, so they'll be prepared to mix and match even more in Game 2 if the situations call for it.
