New York Yankees fans lose it as Buffalo Bisons show support for Toronto Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees open their best-of-five ALDS today and one would think that most American sports teams, particularly those based in the great state of New York, would be all in for the Yankees. However, at least one team is bucking that trend, incurring the ire and wrath of crusty Yankee fans everywhere: The Buffalo Bisons.

On Friday, the Bisons put out a message on social media indicating their support for the Blue Jays.

Of course, to any fan of the Blue Jays, this should be unsurprising news, given the fact that the Bisons have been Toronto's Triple-A affiliate for over a decade. Still, it didn't stop Yankee fans from questioning why a New York team would dare support one from Canada.

While many were quick to point out the reason why, educating the seemingly ignorant Pinstripe Parade, the Bisons replies were riddled with heavily salted comments from the finest fanbase baseball has to offer.

It wasn't all negative however, with plenty of users showing love for both the Bisons and the Blue Jays.

It should also be noted that Buffalo is much closer to Toronto than it is to New York City. One can drive from Sahlen Field to Rogers Centre in just over two hours. It takes six to arrive at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
