The Boston Red Sox and Milwaukee Brewers have completed a 6 player trade that will bring rookie infielder Caleb Durban to Beantown.

According to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, the Boston Red Sox and Milwaukee Brewers completed a rare, old-school six-player trade.

Boston acquired infielders Caleb Durbin, Andruw Monasterio, and Anthony Seigler, along with Milwaukee’s Competitive Balance Round B draft pick.
The Brewers received pitchers Kyle Harrison and Shane Drohan and infielder David Hamilton. All six players were already on 40-man rosters, so no corresponding moves were required.

Boston looking for controllable infield help, Milwaukee addresses Rotation needs

Caleb Durbin is the centerpiece of the deal for Boston and projects as an everyday infielder, likely at third base, with the ability to slide over to second if needed.
The soon-to-be 26-year-old finished third in NL Rookie of the Year voting in 2025 after hitting .256/.334/.387 with 11 homers, 25 doubles, and 18 stolen bases, while posting excellent contact rates and above-average defense at third base. He comes with five years of team control remaining.
Andruw Monasterio, 28, adds infield depth at second and third base and is coming off a strong, though limited, major league showing.
Anthony Siegler, 26, provides upper-minors depth and bench potential after an excellent Triple-A season in 2025.
From Milwaukee’s side, Kyle Harrison gives the Brewers a big league-ready rotation option with upside, owning a 4.39 ERA across 42 MLB appearances.
Shane Drohan offers additional pitching depth, while David Hamilton returns to the organization that originally drafted him.
For the Red Sox, the move largely solidifies the infield. Durbin’s contact-heavy profile and defensive reliability should raise Boston’s floor as the club rounds out its roster.
