Toronto Blue Jays prospect signals his arrival at Spring Training with authority
Josh Kasevich has arrived.
Every spring, one or two prospects emerge as players who are ready to hit the big time.
Two seasons ago it was Addison Barger.
Last year, Alan Roden impressed everybody enough to win a job on the opening day roster.
This spring, that honour might just belong to Josh Kasevich.
Each Spring Training has its darling.
It's Josh Kasevich's turn, the "half-robot" who has all of the right people talking about him like a big-leaguer in #BlueJays camp.

The infielder has always been popular with the front office of the Toronto Blue Jays, and while he is coming off a year that was slowed by injuries, it finally feels as though Blue Jays fans are seeing the true value of Kasevich.
Manager John Schneider has been effusive in his praise.
I don't want to say has 'opened my eyes,' but he's definitely made it hard to miss him with his offense and defense, for sure. He's on a good trajectory.»
The thing that impresses the coaching staff the most however, is his work ethic.
Kasevich is known to be meticulous in his preparation and approach.
So much so that the Blue Jays manager has taken to calling him a "half-robot".
He's half-robot. He's so meticulous with everything he does and says
Kasevich has a real chance to make an impact, and soon
Unlike some other prospects, there is no logjam in front of Kasevich and nobody blocking his playing time. Yes, Toronto has Leo Jimenez on the 40-man, but the Panamanian is currently away playing at the WBC. He is also out of options.
Both of those factors bode well for the half-robot.
It wouldn't be a surprise to see him make his major league debut mid-season.
