Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider spoke to the media about George Springer progress ahead of the series finale in Baltimore.
According to Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith, Springer (head) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.
More Jays notes via John Schneider:
- George Springer out of starting lineup & will likely get today off followed by scheduled Jays off day Thurs
- Yimi Garcia said to be about a week or so from throwing
- Hope is Andres Gimenez runs the bases this wknd. Then rehab assignment.

Possible return for Springer would be back home at Rogers Centre when the Blue Jays take on the Kansas City Royals
Springer was feeling better a day after he was struck on the left ear flap of his helmet by a sinker in Monday's 11-4 loss to Baltimore, but he still ended up sitting out both ends of a doubleheader Tuesday.
George Springer is feeling better; he did some running on-field in Baltimore on Wednesday. Unlikely he's available off the bench for today's game, however. If Springer continues to progress the way he has through Thursday's off day, he'll likely avoid an IL stint.
He'll remain out of the lineup for a third straight game Wednesday, but with a team off day on tap Thursday, Springer could be ready to rejoin the starting nine in Friday's series opener versus the Royals.
Across 408 plate appearances this season, Springer is hitting for a .291 average with 18 home runs, 57 RBI, and 51 walks.
Hopefully we will see Springer back in the lineup when the Blue Jays start their homestand against the Royals on Friday at Rogers Centre.
