Carlos Narvaez iced it with a three-run blast in the eighth inning off reliever Jose Berrios.
Blue Jays manager John Schneider sets the record straight on the current state of his team
John Schneider spoke to the media after another crucial loss to the Boston Red Sox.
Visibly frustrated he didn't hold back on his thoughts of the state of the team.
John Schneider on the state of the Blue Jays:
«It feels like the sky is falling right now and it's fucking not. We've got 90 wins, we're in the playoffs and if the season ended today we're winning the AL East. I want them to come in and not press. I want them to play confident.»
He also insisted that the umpires have nothing to do with their latest skid.
John Schneider: "We're not losing because of umpires. We're losing because we're not scoring enough runs ... I don't want to feed into the narrative that the umpires are screwing us because they're not. We're not scoring enough runs."
The Blue Jays will close out this series with Red Sox on Thursday before the Rays come to town on Friday for the final three games of the regular season.
