After several obvious calls have gone against the Blue Jays, many fans are wondering if there is a bias against the league's only Canadian team.
While correlation obviously does not equal causation, and while it's not wise to make definitive conclusions based on one or two wrong calls, the last few days have Blue Jays wondering.
First, it was the fan interference-but-still-a-home-run call in a game against the Tampa Bay Rays. Then, it was the blatant no-catch call against the Kansas City Royals on Sunday. Finally, it was the foul ball call off George Springer's bat in Tuesday's game against the Boston Red Sox
The MLB is a joke. Not even trying to hide rigging it against the Jays. Insane how obvious they're being about it
While Toronto ended up recovering in some cases, and losing in others, the blatant incorrectness of the calls has some fans openly wondering whether the league is trying to prevent Toronto from winning.
Consecutive bad calls has Blue Jay fans up in arms
While the first two cases involved instant replay - the centre of which is based in New York - Tuesday night's fair/foul call was not reviewable and left fans - and Springer - even more livid than usual.
Manager John Schneider, perhaps frustrated that the Blue Jays' AL East lead has slipped to one game, said after the game that it was a fair ball.
It should've been a two-run double.

While, it's obviously impossible to definitively prove whether or not there is a conspiracy against Canada's only team, the last two games will only add fuel to the fire.
