The Toronto Blue Jays announced Wednesday an agreement with international free-agent right-handed pitcher Seojun Moon.
The 18-year-old Seoul native becomes the first Korean-born international signing in club history.
Moon turned down offers from the Dodgers and Mets to sign a deal worth $1 million with the Jays.

A six-foot-four pitcher, Moon had a 2.18 ERA in 24 high school games with 93 strikeouts and no home runs allowed over 66 innings.
Blue Jays Central reported on August 16 that Moon was to make it official with the Blue Jays in the near future. The future is here.

Seojun Moon is considered one of the best Korean pitching prospects and chose to forego the KBO draft in September to sign with an MLB club.
The signing comes after the successful development of pitching prospect Trey Yesavage this season.
Yesavage rose through five levels of the organization to reach the majors earlier this month after being a first-round pick by the Blue Jays in 2024.
Moon was expected to be a top-three pick in this month's KBO draft.
