Toronto Blue Jays players talked to reporters in post game interviews about Seattle Mariners fans cheering teammate George Springer's knee injury in Game 5 of the ALCS.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider didn't hold back when he scolded classless Mariners fans after they cheered George Springer's injury in Game 5 of the ALCS.

Blue Jays players have choice words for Mariners fans cheering Springer injury

Ernie Clement had some choice words, echoing Schneider's disappointment.
«It's bullshit,» Clement said. «I don't know how you boo somebody who's down on the ground hurt. I've had a lot of respect for all the Mariners fans, especially the ones I've talked to throughout the series. I think they've been awesome, but that was a tough moment. That's pretty classless.»

Outfielder Myles Straw shared the same sentiment as Clement and his manager on Mariners fans:
"There's no room for that. How would those guys like it if they got hit by 95 in the kneecap and we cheered for that? It's bull crap. I would love to see one of those fans take 96 anywhere and laugh at those guys and see how they feel about it. It's not a good feeling."

Straw like everyone else remains optimistic Springer will return for Game 6 on Sunday.
"But George is tough,» continued Straw. «He's dealt with a lot of stuff this year as far as just a lot of different injuries and tends to play through some things like that. So, I think hopefully there's a good chance we'll see him in Game 6. Just praying for the best with his recovery and what the imaging or whatever is going to look like."

Seattle Mariners fans may have poked the bear that is the Toronto Blue Jays

From listening to John Schneider, the players post game comments, and their reactions to Mariners fans mocking Springers injury, this has added more motivation for the Blue Jays to pulverize Seattle in the next two games at Rogers Centre.
John Schneider:

«We're going to fucking get after it in Sunday.»

«We've won two games in a row a whole lot this year. That's what we expect to do beginning Sunday.»
You cannot overstate the value of George Springer to this team and cannot replace his value.
Springer is an essential piece of this team's identity, though.
If you want to see a play that represents the 2025 Blue Jays, watch Springer score from first on a base hit, gritting his teeth and shouting into the air as he blazes around third.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is the superstar, but Springer is the leader everyone follows in these big moments.

MLB fans across the spectrum share their dismay about Mariners fans cheering Springers injury

Absolutely 0 class from Mariners fans cheering when George Springer got hurt. I hope he hits 3 home runs in Game 6
Mariners fans cheering as George Springer got hit by a pitch and then proceeded to boo after he stood up. Tells you everything you need to know
The Mariners fans are cheering as George Springer gets hurt. Hope the Blue Jays bury those miserable losers. Put them on the Scummiest Fan Base list with the Yankees and Dodgers
The @Mariners have lost my support if they advance to the World Series due to their classless fans booing Springer when he was trying to walk off a bad HBP and cheering when he was eventually subbed out. I know the Mariners are overdue for a chip. I no longer care.
I know Phillies fans boo Santa Claus, but Mariners fans cheering when Blue Jays' George Springer is injured by Bryan Woo hitting him on the knee with a pitch is a new level of trashy.

Do you think classless Mariners fans have just motivated the Blue Jays that much more to beat them in the next two games in the ALCS?
