He actually hit better for the Bisons than he did with Double-A New Hampshire. With Buffalo he hit .314 with nine home runs, 48 RBIs and 15 doubles to go along with a .409 OBP.
While it's a near certainty that Roden will make his debut at some point this season, given the dearth of outfielders, there may not be room for him to come north with the Blue Jays on opening day.
That being said, Roden doesn't necessarily have a lot left to prove in the minors. If any injuries befall the current crop, or perhaps a trade, then Roden could find his way onto the team.
It's a very similar situation to went on with Ernie Clement last year. Clement was expected to open the season with the team, but hit a ton during Spring Training, made the opening day roster and ended up having a breakout year, one in which he was nominated for a Gold Glove.
