Blue Jays rookie receives incredible honour

Yesavage grew up in Boyertown, Pennsylvania, roughly 1 hour and 40 minutes from Philadelphia.
He attended Boyertown Area High School. Shortly after his pitching assignment was announced his alma mater, along with the rest of the schools in the district, got together to honour their home town star.

As announced on the Boyertown Area School District's Facebook page, October 24 - the day of Yesavage's start - has been dubbed "Trey Day".
All staff, students, and community members at large are encouraged to wear their best Friday blue in honour of Trey and the Blue Jays.

Trey Yesavage has adopted Canada just as much as the country has adopted him. Still, he has never forgotten where he came from.
