The Blue Jays have added some power with their latest signing.
While they missed out on free agent outfielder Kyle Tucker, who signed a four-year, $240MM deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers late Thursday, Toronto did manage to snag young Dominican outfielder Aneudy Severino and inked him a $700K signing bonus, far less than the $60MM a year the Dodgers are forking over to Tucker.

Severino rounds out a talented trio of prospects, who were among a slew of international players signed by the Blue Jays on Thursday, the first day of the new international signing period.
According to his scouting report, Severino is short in stature, but with a powerful swing.
At 5-foot-9, he's on the shorter side, but it's a powerful build that's extraordinarily strong for his age. His strength and bat speed allow him to drive the ball with high-end exit velocity from the right side of the plate, albeit with a flatter path for now that's more conducive to loud line drives than loft.
It also notes that Severino is an above-average runner whose "thicker" body type could be well-suited to a corner outfield spot.
Severino joins countryman, catcher, in big day for IFAs
Severino joins the previously announced signings of catcher Juan Caricote, who received a $1.95MM signing bonus, and fellow Dominican outfielder Michael Mesa, who signed for $900K.
While teams always go for quanity over quality when it comes to international free agents, the Jays may be getting a diamond in the rough with Severino.
