The accolades keep piling up for Trey Yesavage. This latest one is perhaps the most unique.
On his instagram, Yesavage posted a hype video with some catchy music in the background. While it may seem slightly braggadocious, rookie players often post these types of videos, in an effort to pump up both themselves and their new fans.
Trey Yesavage made $57,204 in MLB this season as a late call-up from the minors in Vancouver 🇨🇦
What makes Yesavage's video unique however, is the music in the background. It's a song that appears to have been about Yesavage himself.
While the source of the song and the artist are unknown at this point, the piece appears to be at least partially inspired by Kid Rock's "Cowboy" which is Ice Trey's entrance music.
While it may never reach the billboard top 100 charts - and who knows if a full version will ever get released - the song is nevertheless catch and features some bopping lyrics like "I'm riding up north like a Blue Jay cowboy, World Series heat making big league noise.»
Song feels appropriate at this moment
Given everything that has happened to Yesavage this season, the song feels appropriate. Yesavage is a kid with swagger without being too full of himself and is
is also not afraid to show his emotions, and the "trey remix" will only serve to add to his legend.
While the moniker "Ice Trey" has been slowly catching on, maybe this post will cause him to become simply "The Cowboy"
