Bo Bichette has ten teams knocking on his door. If the Toronto Blue Jays want to retain him, they'll have to go outside their comfort zone.

MLB Network's Harold Reynolds and Matt Vasgersian discuss Bo Bichette's market and what it will take for the Blue Jays to retain him.
"I think Bo has about 10 teams knocking on his door, therefore he is going to get his money. The AL East has three or four clubs already in contact with his camp. I know that, Okay. You talked earlier about the Cincinnati Reds, they don't homer in that ballpark which is amazing. His bat plays, the injury that forced him to play second base, may have been the best things to ever happen to him. It shows his versatility, he can play short and second, he's going to get his money. That .311 batting average doesn't hurt either."

Blue Jays will have to pay a premium to reunite with Bo Bichette

"«This team is ready to win for the next few years. Were not talking about taking steps backwards. So if you're already in that deep payroll wise, you almost have to bring Bo Bichette back and you almost have to overpay, that's going to be how that goes... that's how I feel."
Vasgersian asked Reynolds whether or not he thought Bichette would return to the Blue Jays and he seemed to have his doubts.
"I don't know. I kinda say no. The only reason he goes back is because of the loyalty to the team, and he's not going to take a discount for that. So I think what's happened now with Bo is him coming back in the world series and playing on that bad leg made some money for him.

Other teams that are in on Bichette this winter will help drive his price up as they bid on him throughout the offseason, especially AL East teams.
A Bichette reunion in Toronto would be great, but at what cost?
