Meet your 2025 American League Eastern Division Champions.

It may have come down to game 162, but the Toronto Blue Jays have pulled it off. By defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 13-4 on Sunday, the Blue Jays clinched their 7th division title in franchise history.
Although they finished with the same record as the New York Yankees - who also won their game against the Baltimore Orioles - Toronto, having won the season series against New York, won the tiebreaker and therefore takes top spot.
After a good run in August and the beginning of September, the Blue Jays went through a bit of slump just as the Yankees went on a run, erasing five game lead to draw with the Blue Jays. Like they have all year though, the Blue Jays found a way
to win.
TOP OF THE EAST
Sunday's victory was buoyed by a classic element of past Blue Jays teams - power. Alejandro Kirk, after hitting a key home run on Saturday, launched two more on Sunday, including a big first inning grand slam. George Springer and Addison Barger also added two-run shots of their own, as the Blue Jays won big on the final day of the season.
CAPTAIN KIRK.

FIRST CAREER SLAM.

NO BETTER TIME.

Blue Jays secure first round bye, avoid dreaded Wild Card Series

Not only have the Jays won the division, but they have secured a first round bye, heading straight to the ALDS with the best record in the American League. The team - and fans - can undoubtedly breathe a sign of relief, as Toronto is 0-6 in their three Wild Card Series appearances.
With the first goal accomplished, now the AL East champs can relax and get ready for one of the biggest postseasons of recent memory.
