If you want to know how good a job a manager is doing, ask the players around him.

When it comes to the Toronto Blue Jays and their manager John Schneider, the reviews couldn't be more positive.
Since taking over the role of skipper midway through the 2022 season, Schneider has done an excellent in cultivating relationships and communication with his players. And just with not superstars like Vladimir Guerrero Jr., George Springer, and Bo Bichette, but with role players like Ernie Clement and Nathan Lukes as well.
Congrats to John Schneider on his 282nd victory as Manager of your Blue Jays!

He moves into 4th all-time in Franchise History 👏
While he's always considered himself 'just a dude', Schneider is now much more than that, deftly managing what he says to the media vs. the clubhouse. He's also been incredibly self-critical, transparent, and unfiltered, three qualities which have lead the Blue Jays to their first World Series appearance in three decades.
Every player knows where they stand and that he has their backs.
He's awesome. He has our back. He's everything you want in a man leading the charge. He's done a hell of a job. - Ernie Clement

He does a great job of keeping things loose and being a regular human to us. - Isiah Kiner-Falefa

When you know a manager loves his players and trusts you, he puts everyone in a good spot to succeed. That's what a good manager does.» - Davis Schneider

Schneider's path to greatness hasn't been 100% smooth

Schneider has been with the Blue Jays for over 20 years, ever since Toronto drafted him in the 13th round all the way back in 2002.
His road to greatness hasn't always been smooth; he hasn't batted 100%, but no manager does.
But after 3.5 seasons on the job, he's fully realized his identity as a leader and is leaning into that. He is ready for it all.
