Game recap: Jays survive frigid conditions in Boston

The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Boston Red Sox 6-2 in Monday night action at Fenway Park in Boston. With the win, the Blue Jays snapped their three game skid, and move back above .500 with a 6-5 record.
Jose Berrios made the start for Toronto and had his best start of the season, while Richard Fitts took the mound for the Sox.
George Springer continued his hot start, going 3-3 with three RBIs. Will Wagner got his first RBI of the season and Andres Gimenez also drove g a run.
After loading the bases in unusual circumstances in the 1st and failing to score, Gimenez hit a sacrifice fly followed by an RBI single by Springer. Rafael Devers added his own sacrifice fly in the bottom of the inning to make it 2-1.
Springer added another RBI in the fifth and one more in the 7th. Will Wagner followed up with a single of his own to make it 5-1.
After Ceddanne Rafaela reached on a Wagner throwing error in the eighth, Triston Casas drove him home with a single to make it 5-2. Nathan Lukes hit a bloop single in the ninth to make it 6-2.
Berrios pitched seven strong innings, giving up just one run on four hits while walking three and striking out two. Yimi Garcia allowed an unearned run in the eighth, while Jeff Hoffman pitched a scoreless ninth to preserve the win for the Blue Jays.
$500MM man Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 2-4 with a run scored. With the win, Berrios now has 100 for his career.
The Jays and Red Sox continue their series tomorrow night with a 6:45PM ET start time. Easton Lucas will make his second start for Toronto, while Garrett Crochet starts for Boston.
