Game recap: Roden gets 1st major league home run

Kevin Gausman got the start for the Blue Jays and was opposed by Spencer Schwellenbach, who took the mound for the Braves.
Gausman gave up a solo home run to Austin Riley - his third of the series - in the first inning, but then settled down after that, his only other blemish being a Matt Olson solo shot in the fifth. All in all he went six innings, giving up six hits and striking out six.
The Jays tied things up in the third.
Alan Roden doubled, advanced to third on a Bo Bichette fly ball, then scored a fielder's choice by Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
The bats then came alive in the sixth. After Myles Straw led off the inning with a single, Roden launched one over the right field wall for his major league home run. After Gausman exited after six strong innings, Mason Fluharty, Nick Sandlin, Brendon Little held the Braves in check, while Chad Green gave up a solo home run to Ozzie Albies in the ninth, however Green got the final three outs to preserve the win and even up the series.
