Guerrero responds to latest rumours; says agent is handling talks

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has weighed in on the latest round on contract extension rumours. According to a report from MLB insider Mike Rodriguez, the Blue Jays are close to signing Guerrero to an extension of 14 year, $500MM+. He claims the announcement could be made as early as Sunday.
After these reports surfaced, Guerrero indicated that at this stage in the negotiations, he is letting his agent take the lead in talks.
"Well, until now, I don't know anything. I've always tried to talk to my agent and I've always left that to my agent. I focus on playing. Until now, I don't know what you're talking about."
Other Spanish language insiders such as Hector Gomez, Jorge Castillo, and Yancen Pujols have also weighed in.
Prior to the start of the season, Pujols has a sit-down interview with Guerrero, with the 4X All-Star admitting that he will be talking to all 30 teams come October.

It also been noted that the contract offer doesn't include any deferrals, which had been stick point for Vlad during the Spring. The first baseman had said in a December interview, that he wasn't interested in taking on any deferred money.
Through nine games this season, Guerrero has four RBIs and a .721 OPS.
