Toronto Blue Jays Central host Jamie Campbell honored a young man on social media today, who passed away two years ago from Leukemia.

When Jamie Campbell learned that he had leukemia in 2021, he made it his mission to raise awareness about the disease.
He uses his platform with Sportsnet and the Blue Jays to visit those around Canada with cancer to brighten their spirits, raise awareness, and raise funds to help those in need. Especially kids.
In 2023 Campbell went to the home of Dylan Gervais, a young man with leukemia to offer his support and help lift his spirits amidst his battle with the disease, a moment I'm sure made the 18 year-old happy as can be considering his circumstances.
When Dylan passed away three weeks later, he posted a heartwarming message to his family to let them know how special their interactions were.
Dylan Gervais, shining star of the U18 Orillia (Ontario) Royals, died yesterday. We were brought together by leukemia, but bonded through baseball. Three weeks ago, we gathered at his Penetanguishene home and laughed. Hugs to Mike, Amanda, and little brother Mason.

Campbell honors Dylan Gervais on the second anniversary of his death

On Friday Campbell thanked a close friend to Dylan, Alicia Golding, who posted a leukemia fundraiser in honor of the young man on the second anniversary of his death.
Campbell also expressed the impact the 18-year old made on his life.
Bless your heart Alycia. Dylan was so brave. He made a lasting impact on my life.
In her fundraising post Alicia described Dylan as a pillar in the Georgian Bay and surrounding communities. With his remarkable charisma and electric passion for sports, anyone who knew Dylan loved Dylan.
"Dylan had the greatest outlook and sense of humor, even after receiving his diagnosis. His positivity and energy were magnetic and acknowledged through multiple Hockey and Baseball awards named in his honor. Dylan's story continues to make an impact in his community and beyond. November 27th 2025, marks two years since Dylan lost his battle with Leukemia.

To honor Dylan Alicia Golding facilitated a fundraising event towards Leukemia research.
Donations can be made from November 27-30, 2025.
Anyone who wishes to donate to leukemia research in Dylan's memory can do so HERE.
