Every Blue Jays fan remembers when Joey Bats delivered one of the most iconic postseason home runs in modern history and his iconic bat flip that followed against the Texas Rangers in 2015 ALDS.
The following season when the Blue Jays faced the Texas Rangers in Texas it appeared the Rangers still had a sour taste in their mouths.
Pitcher Matt Bush plunked Bautista in the 8th inning (his last at-bat of the game), in the final game between the two clubs of the regular season.
Bautista took his base without incident, however on the following play when he slid into second base, Rougned Odor didn't appreciate Bautista's hard slide and punched him in the face.
A culmination of long-standing bad blood because of Bautista's bat flip boiled over into a full fledged brawl between the two teams.

"If I wanted to hurt him I probably could have, said Bautista but I'm glad I didn't, I'm not glad I got punched, but it is what it is. I was definitely on the wrong end of that one"
Holmes then asked him why did Odor punch you?
"I mean, that is something you're going to have to ask him said Bautista. We played them seven games that season and this happened in the 8th inning of the seventh game that they were winning. The brought in a guy [Matt Bush] to face me who hit me on the first pitch. So obviously they weren't happy with something."
Holmes then asked him if he knew as soon as he hit the ball if it's gone.
