The Toronto Blue Jays will need to decide whether to offer contracts to their arbitration- and pre-arbitration level players on Friday.

This evening, teams around baseball will have till 5:00 PM ET to decide whether to offer contracts to their arbitration- and pre-arbitration level players.
The Blue Jays have four arbitration eligible players in Daulton Varsho, Ernie Clement, Tyler Heineman and Eric Lauer.
Those who are non-tendered will head directly into free agency without being placed on waivers.
Last year at this time the Blue Jays non-tendered Jordan Romano, who became a free agent and later signed a one-year $7.75 contract with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Blue Jays highly unlikely to non-tender anyone by the deadline

With the Blue Jays already creating space on their 40-man roster by cutting ties with Nick Sandlin, Dillon Tate, and Ryan Burr, it is highly unlikely that they will non-tender anyone by this evenings deadline.
MLB's annual non-tender deadline is today at 5pm ET. Many players will be non-tendered across MLB, but all four arb eligible Blue Jays (Varsho, Lauer, Clement, Heineman) are expected back in 2026. Jays already created 40-man space by parting ways with Sandlin, Tate & Burr.
As far as the other 29 teams across MLB there are many players at risk of being non-tendered today, although the majority of them likely will not actually head into free agency.
Many will simply be tendered a contract by their team and go through the normal arbitration process, landing a salary deemed appropriate by both sides.
Others could sign at a discount right away on a «pre-tender» deal to avoid arbitration.
As teams look to get something out of players they're considering a non-tender for, a number of trades could be possible today.
For example, the Rangers have already been shopping outfielder Adolis Garcia and catcher Jonah Heim for days as they look to shed payroll, and a non-tender could be in the cards for either or both if a trade isn't worked out.
