Toronto Blue Jays rookie Trey Yesavage is continuing to gradually ramp up his preparation for the 2026 season.

Toronto Blue Jays young right-hander Trey Yesavage threw 35 pitches across two innings in a minor-league game on Monday, according to Sportsnet's Arden Zwelling.
Trey Yesavage threw 35 pitches over two innings of a minor-league game at Blue Jays complex on Monday. Yesavage says he sees his next outing being three innings; Blue Jays coaching staff will decide the environment. His biggest goal currently is working ahead of hitters.
Monday's outing came five days after Yesavage made his first appearance on a mound this spring, when he also threw 35 pitches against minor-league hitters.
The Toronto Blue Jays are carefully managing Yesavage's workload as he prepares for his first full major-league season.
During his rookie campaign, the pitcher rose rapidly through the organization, moving from Single-A Dunedin Blue Jays to the majors.
In total, he logged 41.2 innings in MLB, including 27.2 during Toronto's postseason run.
Multiple outlets reported last week that the club still has no immediate plans to place Yesavage in official spring-training games, though he is currently «building up» toward a possible appearance in Grapefruit League action.
Time may be limited for that to happen. Toronto has just five games remaining on its spring-training schedule before opening the regular season on March 27 at Rogers Centre against the Oakland Athletics.

There was other pitching activity in Blue Jays camp on Monday

Starter Dylan Cease threw five innings against minor-league hitters as he continues his own preparations.
Dylan Cease threw 5 IP vs minor-leaguers on Monday. He was working on smoothing out lower half mechanics and fastball shape. He'd like one more game prior to the end of Blue Jays camp: "I feel like I made really great strides today. ... I really like where I'm at right now."
After the outing, Cease told reporters he would ideally like to make one more appearance before the end of camp, but said he was pleased with how Monday went.
Cease last pitched Tuesday against the Atlanta Braves, when he delivered three scoreless innings.
