Former Toronto Blue Jays reliever Liam Hendriks has a new home.

On Wednesday, it was revealed that the 37-year old relief pitcher, three-time All-Star, and two-time member of the Toronto Blue Jays, signed a minor league contract with the Minnesota Twins.
Robert Murray of Fansided was the first to report the deal. According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, the deal comes with an invite to Spring Training.

Hendriks has good shot to make team

It's a homecoming of sorts for one of the most successful Australian big leaguers of all time.
The Twins initially signed the Perth native to an amateur contract and he made his debut at Target Field back in 2011.
Initially a starter, Hendriks transitioned to the bullpen during his second stint with the Blue Jays in 2015. After being traded to the Athletics, he spent three years in a middle relief and set-up role before becoming a full-fledged closer in 2019, when he garnered 25 saves and was elected to his first All-Star game.
It was with the Chicago White Sox that he has prime years, accumulating 75 saves in two seasons, along with two more All-Star selections.
It's been a bit of bumpy ride since then. He was diagnosed with cancer early in the 2023 offseason and spent the first part of the season recovering.
While he made his return that May, he ultimately appeared in only five games as he suffered from elbow inflammation and underwent Tommy John surgery.
He signed with the Boston Red Sox but missed all of 2024 while recovering and appeared in only 14 games in 2025.
Although his deal is a minor league, Hendriks has a good chance to make the opening day roster.
Minnesota only has four locks in their bullpen, two of whom have minor league options remaining.
