Count Cameron Maybin as a fan of the Toronto Blue Jays. The former outfielder and current analyst and host of Foul Territory says that Toronto has the pieces in place to be a successful team.

Maybin recently appeared on TSN's overdrive to voice his opinion on Canada's only team.
A big of part of the team's potential success Maybin says, will be their ability to put all the noise about Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette behind them.
With all the noise around Bo and Vladdy and what's gonna happen, you know, I think they need to find a way to put all that noise to the side and go 'Hey guys, as long as you are here, this is what we're gonna focus on'" - Cameron Maybin

Beyond that however, Maybin feels that the Jays do post a legitimate threat, specifically citing their pitching staff and guys like Chris Bassitt, Jose Berrios, Kevin Gausman, Jeff Hoffman, and even Yariel Rodriguez; pitchers who have stuff so good that you're not exactly champing at the bit to see them.
He also acknowledges that players like George Springer and Davis Schneider will need to have better years than they did last year.
Additionally, Maybin points to the positive clubhouse culture on the Jays and states how there are many leaders on the team, whether they lead by example, or are in the locker room giving Knute Rockne speeches.
While the line between everything going right and everything going wrong is thin, Maybin isn't incorrect in his assessment. The Jays are off to a good start. If they keep that up they just might be a playoff team.
