MLB insider names Blue Jays manager John Schneider to 'all award-less team'

Blue Jays manager John Schneider has been named to a special team.
In a recent piece for MLB.com, baseball insider Anthony Castrovince acknowledged those who somehow weren't rewarded or acknowledged for their efforts on the field or their amazing overall seasons.
While there was a case to be made for Ernie Clement - who got nominated for two Gold gloves and didn't win either - to be on this special team, it is instead another member of the Blue Jays who finally gets his due: manager John Schneider.

Schneider famously - and somewhat surprisingly - lost the Manager of the Year vote to Cleveland Guardians skipper Stephen Vogt. Not to take away from the job that Vogt did but, as Castrovince points out, the Guardians were defending AL Central champions who actually won four less games than in 2024.
Schneider, on the other hand, took the Blue Jays from worst-to-first, going from a last place in 2024, to within two outs of winning the World Series in 2025, though the votes were conducted before the playoffs started.
Unfortunately, Schneider didn't get to hoist a trophy for his great work this year, and we just want him -- and everyone else on this «team» -- to feel seen.
Schneider finished second in Manager of the Year voting
Schneider ended up finishing in Manager of the Year voting, behind Vogt and ahead of third place winner Dan Wilson, manager of the Seattle Mariners.
While it's disappointing that he didn't win, it does appear that Schneider, and the Blue Jays as a whole, are finally starting to get the respect that they've so long deserved.
