Rays vs Blue Jays Game Recap: Varsho provides power in close game.

Jose Berrios made it through the first inning then the wheels came off in the second.
Berrios plunked Danny Jansen, gave up a double to Chandler Simpson, a single to Brandon Lowe and a two-run home run to Jonathan Miranda making it 4-0 Rays early.
He managed to settle down after that cruising through the next three innings. In five innings pitched he gave up four hits, four runs (four earned), two walks with four strikeouts.
Bo Bichette hits a two run home run to left-center field which was originally called a double but after a second look the umpires ruled it a home run cutting the Rays lead in half.
In the fourth inning
Daulton Varsho hits the hardest ball of his career in the form of a 113.9 mph laser over the right field wall to bring the Jays within one run.
Our old friend Danny Jansen takes Blue Jays lefty Mason Fluharty deep to left field to put the Rays up 6-3 in the 7th.
Ernie Clement hits his first home run of the season (97.3 MPH, 365 FT) extending his hit-streak to 7 games.
Daulton Varsho hits a three-run bomb into the 5th tank at Rogers Centre putting the Jays up 7-6 in the bottom of the 8th.
Blue Jays closer Jeff Hoffman comes into the game in the 9th and once again the wheels fall off. Travis Jankowski walks, Danny Jansen singles, Chandler Simpson singles in Jankowski to tie the game, Brandon Lowe singles to load the bases and then Junior Caminero hits a grand slam to make it 11-7 Rays. Hoffman gives up 5 runs in the 9th.
In the bottom of the 9th inning Myles Straw, Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr hit back to back to Back doubles to cut the score to 11-9, however it wasnt enough as the Rays win the first game of this series at Rogers Centre.
