There are mere hours until extension talks between the Toronto Blue Jays and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. end. If a deal isn't reached, then what happens?

The internet and social media are exploding with suggestions, threats, and other such nonsense.
While some fans are saying they will stop going to games or will refuse to buy tickets until Vladdy is re-signed, others flood every official Blue Jays X post with comments about Vlad.
One user suggested that fans should their phone plans from Rogers to Bell.
All this begs the question... will Blue Jays fans follow through on their threats to boycott and should the Blue Jays ownership prepare for one?
Needless to say, Blue Jays fans, players, media, and the entire baseball world is on pins and needles waiting for an announcement.
Toronto doesn't get homegrown starts like Guerrero often, if ever. The last big superstars that were developed in the Jays system were arguably Carlos Delgado and Vernon Wells and they've both been retired for over a decade.
Also back then, Jays ownership didn't have the financial flexibility it does now, and players salaries also weren't they are today.
Simply, this is quite possibly the biggest decision the Blue Jays have faced in their near fifty year history.
And while Guerrero could certainly still re-sign with the Blue Jays next offseason, that won't do anything to assuage fans or positively affect the ratings during the season.
Hold on tight.
