The first few weeks after the World Series are always action-packed, with many players declaring free agency. Here are a few former Toronto Blue Jays you may have missed.

The big ones we know. Bo Bichette is listed as 2nd top free agent on the market, behind Kyle Tucker. Chris Bassitt, Seranthony Dominguez, and Max Scherzer have also made the top 50.
Some of the minor ones have been talked about as well. But there are many others in between.
The biggest name to fall into this category is Danny Jansen. The former Blue Jays has struggled to find a consistent since being traded to the Red Sox at the deadline last year. After signing a one year with the Tampa Bay Rays and subsequently being traded to the Brewers, he finds himself available to all teams this winter. While health has always been an issue for Jansen, he could definitely serve as a power-hitting backup catcher for several teams.
Then there is Steven Matz. The left-hander had a largely successful year in his lone season with the team in 2021, a year in which he won 14 games. His subsequent four-year pact with St. Louis did not go well, but he could still of use as mid-rotation pitcher. Perhaps he lands a minor-league deal.
In the latest free agency ESPN article,

has a few names he believes are coming back to the Red Sox:

Alex Bregman - 5 years/160M
Lucas Giolito - 2 years/32M
Steven Matz - 2 years/17M
Refsynder briefly played for the Blue Jays in 2017, but has blossomed into a very a valuable since then. His most notable success has come as a member of the Boston Red Sox, for whom he hit 11 home runs in 2024. While he has never played 100 games in a season, he could easily find a home as a fourth outfielder, or in a platoon situation.

Several other Jays on the market as well
