The Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to contracts with Trey Yesavage, Addison Barger, Davis Schneider, Nathan Lukes, and 16 other pre-arbitration players on Tuesday.

According to Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith, the Toronto Blue Jays reached agreements with all 20 of their pre-arbitration-eligible players currently on the team's 40-man roster earlier this afternoon.
Among the most notable players included in the group are Trey Yesavage, Addison Barger, Davis Schneider, Nathan Lukes, Louis Varland, and Brendon Little.
Earlier this afternoon, the Blue Jays announced they've agreed to contracts with 20 pre-arb players including Trey Yesavage (as previously reported here), Addison Barger, Davis Schneider, Nathan Lukes, Brendon Little & Louis Varland. No renewals this year.

Blue Jays agreed to terms with all 20 pre-arbitration players

Nicholson-Smith also noted that, like many MLB organizations, the Blue Jays use an internal formula to determine salaries for pre-arbitration players.
The system factors in player production and other performance metrics to generate a salary figure, which is then presented to the player.
At that point, players can either accept the offer or decline it as a symbolic protest against the salary structure, something Bo Bichette and Alek Manoah have done in previous seasons.
Players can agree to a one-year contract and be renewed the following season, depending on how negotiations and relationships evolve over time.
While this system generally works in the team's favor, pre-arbitration players have historically been among the most underpaid in Major League Baseball.
That disparity was one of the reasons players pushed for a higher league minimum salary during negotiations for the most recent Collective Bargaining Agreement.
In this case, however, all 20 Blue Jays players in the current group ultimately agreed to their contracts and signed on Tuesday.

Is this a good way for the Toronto Blue Jays to keep their pre-arbitration eligible players happy?
