Toronto Blue Jays' Ernie Clement steals show at Toronto Rock lacrosse game

Toronto Blue Jays infielder Ernie Clement, was the man of honor at an NLL lacrosse game this weekend.
Fresh off signing a $4.6 million contract extension, the 29-year-old Clement has been keeping busy this offseason.
We already know about his affinity for hockey, but that isn't the only uniquely Canadian sport he's interested in.
Clement was in his hometown of Rochester, New York, on Saturday night to take in an NLL match between the Rochester Knighthawks and Toronto Rock.
While he is a member of the Blue Jays, it appeared that Clement was on the side of his native Knighthawks for the game.
He had the honor of participating in a special pre-game ceremony.

Not only did he attend the game, but he also showed off a bit of his lacrosse skills as well.
We all know that Clement was a dominant hockey player in his youth, and he demonstrated similar skills in a shoot-around with the Knighthawks earlier in the day.

As far as the game went, Toronto came back to win 11-10 over Clement's hometown Knighthawks.

The 2026 season is shaping up to be a big one for Clement.
With the Blue Jays passing on bringing back Bo Bichette, it appears that the New York native will be a regular player in Toronto's infield.
Blue Jays fans will be eager to see Clement back on the field when Spring Training comes around in March.
They will also get a chance to see him suit up for Team USA at the upcoming World Baseball Classic.
