Toronto Blue Jays are turning to their ace as the fight to the World Series continues.

It was also announced that Game 2 starter Trey Yesavage could be made available out of the bullpen.

It makes sense that the Blue Jays are turning to their ace. He has been their most effective and consistent pitcher all season and is coming off of two great postseason appearances.
Gausman will either pitching to stave off elimination and take the series back to Rogers Centre in Toronto, or he will be pitching for the series lead, depending on what happens in Game 4.
However, Yesavage's 2nd postseason start didn't go as well as his first, and the Blue Jays also have Chris Bassitt on staff this time around.
Pitching plans will depend on Game 4 outcome
Much of Jays pitching plans depends on the outcome of Game 4 in Seattle. Even if Toronto evens up the series, they could still try and utilize Yesavage out of the pen on Friday, which would likely make Bassitt the starter for Game 6, perhaps in a shorter stint, with Eric Lauer ready to come in behind him.
While the future beyond Game 5 is unknown, Blue Jays fans can take solace in knowing that the team will have their best on the mound as they try and move the series back home.
