The Toronto Blue Jays have released 6 pitchers and 3 catchers from their minor league system.

According to the club's official transaction log, the Blue Jays released nine players across four levels of their farm system on Monday.
Of the nine players released, six were pitchers, and three were catchers.
For Vancouver, releasing Garcia and Sanchez also hints at upcoming adds, whether that's college signings, minor league free agents, or internal promotions.
You can only carry so many developmental arms before innings get rationed and progress stalls.
Kelly is the toughest one to see at a glance, because Double-A is where you expect depth to matter most.
If the Blue Jays feel a pitcher is no longer trending toward the 40-man conversation, this is when they clear the lane.
Mracna's path is a good example of how quickly the margin disappears, since he was activated off Dunedin's injured list late last season and still ended up on the wrong side of the winter shuffle.
Hughes is another one who moved levels recently, and now has to restart elsewhere.
Luis Meza was the top catcher signed by the Blue Jays in the 2022 International Free Agent period.
He signed for a bonus of $2.25 million but has yet to find success in the minor leagues, which led to his release in 2025.
Crespo is the youngest name here, and his MLB player page notes Toronto originally signed him to a minor league deal in January 2025 before the DSL assignment.
The transaction log lists his release on January 12 as well, matching the broader set of Monday cuts.
For the Blue Jays Toronto, the next step is what comes after the exits, which players they sign, invite, or promote to keep the pipeline moving.
For the players, you just hope the phone rings soon, because everybody deserves a clean chance to keep playing.
