The United States is getting a boost from the Toronto Blue Jays bullpen ahead of its quarterfinal matchup with Canada.

Toronto Blue Jays reliever Tyler Rogers has been added to Team USA's roster for the knockout stage of the World Baseball Classic, the club announced Thursday.

Rogers, who is entering his first season with Toronto, could potentially make his debut for the Americans against Team Canada in Friday's quarterfinal.
The 35-year-old submariner has impressed this spring, allowing three runs on eight hits over seven innings while striking out seven batters.
Rogers is coming off an outstanding 2025 season split between the San Francisco Giants and New York Mets. Across 81 appearances, he posted a 1.98 ERA and a 0.94 WHIP.
A seven-year MLB veteran, Rogers spent the first six-plus seasons of his career with the Giants before finishing last year with the Mets.
During the offseason, the Denver native signed a three-year, $37-million contract with the Blue Jays.
Rogers' addition is part of several pitching changes for Team USA following the preliminary round. Tarik Skubal, Michael Wacha and Ryan Yarbrough have all departed the roster.
Rogers replaces Yarbrough, who has returned to spring training with the New York Yankees.
Detroit Tigers right-hander Will Vest and New York Yankees left-hander Tim Hill have also been added to the squad.
The United States will face Canada in the World Baseball Classic in the quarterfinals on Friday at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
