With Yesavage back in the rotation, Eric Lauer is expected to shift into a bullpen role.
The 22-year-old has yet to pitch this year after dealing with shoulder issues during spring training.
In his most recent rehab outing earlier this week, Yesavage pitched 2.1 innings, allowing four runs—two of them earned—while recording two strikeouts and issuing four walks against the Columbus Clippers, a Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians.
He faced 14 batters and threw 64 pitches, 37 for strikes, and also committed a throwing error in the opening inning.
The appearance marked his fourth minor league outing this season. He previously made two starts with the Dunedin Blue Jays and two with the Buffalo Bisons.

Yesavage, a Pennsylvania native, burst onto the scene in 2025.
After beginning the year in A-ball, he quickly climbed through the minor league system before earning a September call-up to the majors.
He made three regular-season starts, posting a 1–0 record with a 3.21 ERA across 14 innings.
He then played a key role in the postseason, appearing in six games spanning the Division Series, Championship Series, and World Series.
Notably, Yesavage came out of the bullpen in Game 7 of the Fall Classic against the Los Angeles Dodgers. In Game 5, he delivered a standout performance, allowing just three hits and one earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings.
