The Toronto Blue Jays look to get back in the win column tonight when they take on the Arizona Diamondbacks in the second matchup of a three-game series at Chase Field.

After dropping two of three against the Milwaukee Brewers earlier this week, the Toronto Blue Jays landed in the desert looking to put the mid-west behind them with a win against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Things obviously didn’t go according to plan, and the Jays have found themselves in a hole against the Dbacks, dropping last night’s game by a score of 6-3.
Tonight the Blue Jays look to veteran Max Scherzer to turn things around versus Diamondbacks right-hander Zac Gallen.
First Pitch is at 8:10 PM ET on Sportsnet, Dbacks TV, and on Sportsnet 590 The Fan radio.

Toronto Blue Jays Starting Lineup

Starting pitcher overview

The Blue Jays aren't the only ones looking to turn things around, as they run out Max Scherzer (1-2), who in his last outing, allowed eight runs on five hits with two walks with three strikeouts over 2.1 innings.
Scherzer opened with a perfect first inning before allowing eight runs while recording just four more outs.
His velocity appeared normal, so it doesn't seem tied to the forearm tendinitis the 41-year-old dealt with in his previous outing, but he generated only four whiffs on 68 pitches and surrendered two homers.
He'll take an ugly 9.58 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 9:4 K:BB across 10.1 innings into Chase Field tonight against a formidable Dbacks lineup.
Zac Gallen gets the ball tonight for the Dbacks. In his last outing Gallen did not factor into the decision in a 4-3 win over the Phillies, allowing three runs on eight hits and one walk with two strikeouts over five innings.
Gallen opened with five scoreless frames before allowing five straight hits and three runs without recording an out in the sixth.
It was a tough finish to an otherwise solid outing, though he generated just four swinging strikes on 84 pitches and yielded 15 hard-hit balls.
The 30-year-old owns a 3.60 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 11:7 K:BB across 20 innings in the early going.
INJURIES:
Former Blue Jays catcher Gabriel Moreno will not be active for the Dbacks this weekend, he has a left oblique strain.
However, outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. who was recovering from ACL surgery after sustaining it last September may get activated tonight, according to manager Torey Lovullo.
Blue Jays: George Springer: (fractured left toe 10-Day IL), Cody Ponce: 60-Day IL (knee), Anthony Santander: 60-Day IL (shoulder), Addison Barger: day-to-day (ankle), Alejandro Kirk: 10-Day IL (thumb), Shane Bieber: 15-Day IL (elbow), Jose Berrios: 15-Day IL (elbow), Yimi Garcia: 15-Day IL (elbow), Lazaro Estrada 15-Day IL (shoulder), Trey Yesavage: 15-Day IL (shoulder), Bowden Francis: 60-Day IL (elbow)
