A reset with the Buffalo Bisons appears to be paying early dividends for Toronto Blue Jays left-hander Brendon Little.

Toronto Blue Jays lefty Brendon Little opened the 2025 season in dominant fashion, but his performance faded as the year progressed.
By October, he no longer looked like the same pitcher who had impressed earlier in the campaign.
Although he turned heads during Spring Training, Little carried some of that late-season inconsistency into 2026.
In his first outings, he struggled significantly, surrendering 10 hits, including three home runs, and 10 earned runs over just 3 2/3 innings.
With minor league options available, a move to Triple-A Buffalo felt inevitable.
Since the demotion, Little has quietly begun to turn things around away from the spotlight.
The 29-year-old has made seven appearances with the Bisons and has yet to allow an earned run, giving up only four hits in that span.
Since being optioned to AAA, Brendon Little has a 0.00 ERA in 7 innings with the Bisons (12K, 4BB). Watching some of outings back, there have still been a few wild pitches, but he’s been spotting the knuckle curve around the zone a lot more lately #BlueJays
Opponents have managed just a .182 batting average against him, along with a .182 slugging percentage and a .490 OPS. He’s also posted a 1.14 WHIP, though over a relatively small sample size.
Encouragingly, Little has rediscovered his ability to miss bats, recording 12 strikeouts while regaining confidence in his knuckle-curve, a pitch that has become a key part of his arsenal in recent seasons.

Little likely to remain in Buffalo to refine his command, build up confidence

Despite the progress, there are still areas to refine. He has issued four walks in seven innings, resulting in a 5.14 BB/9 rate, still higher than what’s typically sustainable at the major league level.
Overall, Little is showing signs of returning to the form that made him so effective early in 2025.
However, it’s worth noting that this resurgence has come against Triple-A competition.
For now, the Blue Jays are likely to keep him in the minors unless a need arises at the big league level.
Still, the trend is encouraging. The next step for Little is to maintain this momentum and continue building toward a return to the majors.
